Kappa SigmA

The Kappa Sigma Chapter of Alpha Chi Omega was chartered at the University of Southern Mississippi on November 14, 2014. After welcoming so many amazing women in 2014, Kappa Sigma made our sorority chapter the first Alpha Chi Omega chapter in the state of Mississippi.

Since our founding in 2014, the Kappa Sigma Chapter of Alpha Chi Omega has had the privilege to initate over 400 women who continue to build on the strong foundation that our founders laid down for us. The women in our chapter continue to represent real, strong women inside and out!

Our members have contributed tremendously to the growth of our chapter within the past few years on campus. With sisters striving to join other organizations on campus, as well as grow professionally through employment and job opportunities, we have created a name for ourselves amongst the Hattiesburg commuinty. We are very proud to bring advocacy to domestic violence awareness on a college campus, where education about healthy relationships, sexual assault, and domestic violence are very needed.

Without the outpouring of love and support in our sisterhood, we would not have made it this far. In 2021, we officially made seven years as a chapter at Southern Miss. We will continue to develop and implement programming that builds us into young
professionals and real, strong women. Kappa Sigma is so grateful
for our sisters, both past and present, and for the sisters
to come as we continue to empower
others here at
Southern Miss.
